Does everyone have cornstarch? better known as cornstarch? It is kept in the cupboard, but it usually only comes out when it is a recipe item. However, this is not the only way to use it. Check out some unusual ways to use cornstarch for unusual purposes:
1. Clean up carpet stains
Especially true for oil and grease stains. Pour a little cornstarch over the affected area and let it sit for about 20 minutes. The spots disappear. Then just clean it.
2. Polish furniture
Even after cleaning the furniture well, there is still some residue? Sprinkle some cornstarch over the area, clean and buff it. This also works for cars.
3. Clear silverware
Has your silver lost its shine? You can make them shine again by making a paste with cornstarch and water. Apply the paste on the silver, let it dry and then clean.
4. Remove ink stains
Whether on fabrics, clothing or even carpeting, just make a paste with cornstarch and milk, apply it to the affected area and let it dry. If any residue remains, just brush the place before cleaning.
5. Untangle knots
The knot is too tight and you can't untangle it? Sprinkle some cornstarch in place, this will make the process easier.
6. Soften burns and insect bites
Make a paste of cornstarch and water and apply to the affected area. Let the dough dry and then remove with warm water.
7. Remove oil from hair
If you are late and do not have time to shower but do not know how to get rid of the greasy hair, sprinkle some cornstarch on the scalp and leave for a few minutes before brushing. It will absorb the oil. The tip can also be done with pets, when for some reason it is not possible to bathe.
8. Deodorize shoes
The sweat ends up causing a bad smell in the hunted, called "stinky". To eliminate this odor, use cornstarch, which will absorb all perspiration. Works on socks too.
9. Clean up fat spots
First, wipe away as many stains as you can with a paper towel. Then apply a little cornstarch on the stain and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Remove with a paper towel, rub a little white vinegar and wash normally.
10. Remove blood stains from clothing
Use cold water to make a paste with cornstarch. Apply it over the stain and rub it a little. Let the fabric dry in the sun. Once dried, remove the remaining cornstarch. If the stain still remains, repeat the process as many times as necessary until it is gone.
