How I Met Your Mother shows Ted, one of the main characters, telling his children how he met their mother. But the plot of the series goes way beyond that! Marshall and Lily have been dating for many years and, with some exceptions, stay together from beginning to end of the series, teaching us valuable lessons about love and relationships.
