Father saves son born with cord wrapped around his neck

Ashley Edwards, 35, was forced to give birth to her wife, Kimberly, 30, when they realized they couldn't wait until they got to the hospital. But when little Toby was born, his father realized he wasn't breathing.

He called the emergency number and was directed by an attendant, Megan, to remove the umbilical cord that was wrapped around the baby's neck so that he could breathe again. It was the scariest moment of my life. I went from joy to see my son born to absolute fear. I really started to panic when I realized that my baby wasn't crying. Luckily Megan was brilliant and calmly told me over the phone what to do. Did your reassuring voice soothe me? Said his father.

The attendant was also thrilled with the situation and went to meet the family in person. “It's not the first time I've helped save a baby over the phone, but it's very rare to meet parents. I was just doing my job that day, but I'm so glad to see that I was able to make such a difference to Edwards's family, ”said Megan.

Her father stayed with her on the phone until an ambulance arrived and took mother and son to the hospital. Everything went well with little Toby. The couple also have a 3 year old daughter, Sophie, and an 18 year old son, Harry.
