Find out how to change a tire and get rid of potential trouble

If you have never been surprised by a flat tire when you are hurrying to get your car, or soon after passing through a hole, be happy. This unpleasant surprise already bothers men, imagine women.

In a survey conducted by a UK car shop with 3000 drivers, it was found that 72% of empowered women have no idea how to change their car tires, a reality that is likely to be confirmed in other countries.

Of course, when you come across a flat tire, you can call your insurer, appeal to the charm, and sensitize a kind man to help you, or if you have time, call your husband or boyfriend to meet you service. But what if, by chance, you were alone, in a hurry and needed to turn around, would you know where to start?

To help answer this question, in this article we will present a step by step how to change a tire.

We certainly don't expect you to need it someday, but even if it's just theory or to take advantage of friends at the bar table, it's always good to know how to act in a predicament, after all, for a modern woman. Mostly independent, knowledge never hurts.

  • Check regularly that your car has all the necessary tire changing tools: triangle, full spare tire, jack and wheel wrench and check that they are in good working order.
  • If the tire has punctured and you are alone and have no one to turn to, rest assured, turn on the blink alert and drive to a quiet spot where you can change the tire safely and without disrupting traffic.
  • Signal the area with the triangle, observing the recommended distance for each type of road to indicate to other drivers and avoid accidents. On highways, this distance is at least 30 meters.
  • Locate where your car spare tire is, remove the cap and wheel wrench by turning counterclockwise and unscrew the tire bolts before attaching the jack. The tip is to use the weight of the feet for ease.
  • Place the jack where indicated on the car and climb until the wheel no longer touches the ground. When this happens, use the wheel wrench to remove and retain the screws so that you do not lose.
  • Replace the tire with the spare tire, replace the bolts and lower the car.
  • Tighten the screws better to secure them.

Okay, the tire is changed. After that, you will only need to take the tire to be repaired on a rubber, or replace with a new one. And you'll also need a proper place to clean your hands that should be very dirty by now, but nothing that a little soap and water won't solve.

To better illustrate and convince you that changing a tire is not a seven-headed bug, we chose a video that shows the task being done by a woman and a step-by-step how to make a successful change by explaining all that will be. required. Check out:
