Hypnotherapy: Emotional Relief

Anxiety, depression, stress and nervous breakdowns are typically modern diseases. It is very difficult for science to combat these ills, which seem to afflict individuals of all ages, professions and social classes in large numbers and lead every year to a significant increase in demand for psychologists, psychiatrists and neurologists.

These professionals are dedicated to relieving their patients' symptoms and suffering through conventional, occupational or drug therapy. Whichever method you use, is treatment often long and expensive? and most people take a long time to realize their beneficial effects on a daily basis.

What, then, of a technique that promises quick access to the human subconscious, not only relieving the symptoms of psychosis and neurosesbut also acting directly on what seems to be the cause of these disturbances? Because this is the proposal of the treatment through hypnosis.

Although not widespread, hypnosis or hypnotherapy has been recognized as medical treatment for almost fifteen years. For the Federal Council of Medicine, the technique is called hypniatria and is considered legal since 1997. Psychology has validated it in Brazil in a resolution dating from December 2000.

O goal of hypnotherapy is to minimize the inconvenience suffered by patients who go through psychological disorders and emotional. This is possible by intensifying the focus of attention to the problem to be addressed. For this reason, although the technique can be applied to patients of all ages, it is very rare to be able to use this technique in children, as they have more difficulty maintaining attention.

The therapist uses the frequency and pitch of the voice in a rhythmic and persistent way for a while to bring the patient to a trance state which, once installed, allows access to various areas of the subconscious. When in a trance, does the individual have some altered brain functions, including sensory perception? which is maintained albeit at a lower frequency. Higher intellectual functions also change, while an exacerbation of memory called hyperamnesia occurs.

With the state of consciousness altered, can the therapist work? Reprogramming? recurrent thinking patterns to help the patient establish a new way of thinking about a particular subject.

Psychologists indicate hypnosis for treating so-called psychosomatic diseases, ie phobias in general, depression, stress, insomnia and chronic anxiety, among others.

Before starting a hypnosis therapy, be sure to find a professional you trust. Although the list of benefits is vast, poorly conducted treatment can lead to worsening symptoms.
