Milky, translucent or transparent shampoo?

Among so many shampoo options on the shelves of perfumeries, pharmacies and supermarkets, it is even difficult to choose a brand and the right product to keep your hair always beautiful. Even though most packages guarantee softer, beautiful, well-hydrated hair, if you don't choose the right texture for your hair type, the effect of shampoo will be the opposite.

There are three types of shampoo: milky, translucent or transparent. Each one fits a specific type of hair. So if you do not know these differences yet, write down the function of each one to know which shampoo is ideal for your hair and on the next purchase, make the right choice.

Milky shampoo

The milky shampoo has the densest texture, it is the type for treatment and should be used with already clean strands. The recommendation is for dyed and dry hair, as the product moisturizes the hair.

Milky shampoo is not recommended for those who already have greasy hair because its dense texture makes the hair appear pasty, heavy and increases greasiness. For other types of hair, before using the milky shampoo it is recommended to clean the hair every 15 days or once a week with clear shampoo.

Translucent shampoo

Translucent shampoo, also known as pearlescent, is the kind of medium product, as it is between transparent and milky. It also cleans the hair, but not the same as the transparent shampoo, because due to its texture, its function is to clean and moisturize superficially. Translucent shampoo is best suited for daily use, especially for those who have normal, dry hair with moderate oiliness.

Transparent shampoo

The clear shampoo is neutral and cleans deeply, removing all dirt from the strands. As the name implies, the product is transparent, ie it does not have the same milky or pearly appearance as the others. Some of them even have a tint, but always with that mirror effect. This type of shampoo is well known as baby shampoo, but there are adult products that are similar.

Transparent shampoo is suitable for all hair types, especially when you need to leave the hair clean to hydrate afterwards or any other treatment.

In oily strands the product ensures good cleanliness by controlling the scalp's sebaceous glands and preventing the strands from looking dirty and heavy, looking like they are stuck to the head.

Anti-waste shampoo is also classified as transparent. In addition to deep cleaning, it opens the cuticles so that the wires receive treatment. Therefore, it should be used only once a week for those who have oily strands and every 15 days or before any hair procedure on other hair types. Those with dry hair should avoid as much as this type of shampoo further dries the hair, leaving it looking opaque.
