Natural Hair Dyes: Learn How to Dye Your Hair at Home

Are you crazy to dye your hair, but are you afraid of the unwanted effects of industrialized dyes, which often dry out the hair, leaving it brittle? So it might be a good idea to learn how to make a natural paint.

Homemade dyes made from plant-based ingredients can give your hair new life by enhancing color, creating streaks and enhancing shine.

However, because they do not contain ammonia, they are not able to penetrate deep into the wires, so their clamping power is much less than that of traditional inks. In addition, it may be necessary to repeat the procedure several times to achieve the desired shade, which will also last less than a salon tincture.

To prevent pigment from coming off so easily when you wash your hair, you can rinse it with apple cider vinegar, which helps close the cuticles. Here's how to do it:

Natural hair dye with black tea

Black tea is suitable for dyeing brown, dark brown, black hair and also for those that were originally in these shades and are turning gray. You can even use black tea on blonde hair, but they will just get a little darker.

  • 5 tablespoons coffee (3 + 2 spoons)
  • 2 cups of water

Method of preparation and application

Prepare a strong coffee using 3 spoons of powder and wait for it to cool. Then mix one cup of coffee with a leave-in conditioner, add the other 2 spoons of the powder and mix well. Apply to clean hair and let it act for an hour.

  • 1 minced beet
  • 1 chopped carrot
  • 1 cup of water

Natural Nutshell Hair Dye

Is the dye made from nut shells ideal for those who want to revive dark brown hair and disguise white strands? and it's very good for the end of the year, when these shells usually go straight from the table to the trash.

  • 2 cups of nutshells
  • 2 cups of water

Ingredients

  • Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • ½ cup strong chamomile tea (optional)
  • 1 clean spray bottle

Remember that these are homemade recipes and results may vary depending on the characteristics and quantity of ingredients used, the mode of preparation, the application, the characteristics of your hair and the frequency of washing. Therefore it is not possible to predict the exact result of the dye.
