People who get good grades may be more jealous, study says

People who get better grades at university are more likely to experience feelings of jealousy on Facebook, according to a new study.

The survey asked students to imagine scenes such as discovering a message in their partner's Facebook inbox from a person of the opposite sex saying, "What are you going to do later?"

The result showed that those with the highest level of intelligence or grades were the most jealous.

Although the results are preliminary, researcher Denise Friedman, an associate professor of psychology at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia, who conducted the study, pointed out: “Could it be that people with higher grades in college tend to have a type of personality that makes them more prone to jealousy. Are students with higher grades often more aware, more self-controlled and more likely to be perfectionists?

Infidelity probably disturbs her attempts at perfection, according to the teacher.
