Photonic Straightening

Photonic straightening is another novelty among the various types of progressive brush offered by salons for those who want to achieve the straight hair of dreams.

Also known as photon hair, this type of straightening uses less chemical than the others and besides transforming the hair, also has high hydration power.

The secret is in a photonic light device, which enhances the absorption of the product and therefore, dispenses a very strong chemistry. When applied, the light causes a reaction in the hair that turns curly, wavy and volume hair into extra straight hair.

An advantage of photonic straightening is that it can be done on bleached, dyed hair, strands that have already undergone chemical processes, including ammonium thioglycolate-based products.

In addition, the client can wash, lock or color her hair the same day she straightens it. The photon hair procedure is only contraindicated for hair that has undergone chemical processes that have heavy metals in the formulation, such as straightening and relaxation.

Unlike the traditional progressive wash, which lasts about two months, the result of photon hair can last from six months to a year, depending on root growth.

Here's a video that shows you step-by-step how photonic straightening is done.
