Banana Moisturizing: Homemade Trick To Treat Damaged Hair

If your hair is damaged by using a straightener or blow dryer or if it has become dry and lifeless after a chemical, you need to know about homemade banana hydration.

Banana is a fruit rich in vitamins, potassium and lipids, which are essential for the health of our hair, and it can be used in pure or masked hair. This recipe moisturizes and nourishes the hair at the same time.

Youtuber Julia Doorman is the one who teaches the trick today, and she guarantees that this recipe doesn't leave her hair smelling or linting with bananas.

In the video, she says that her hair smelled like the mask she wore, not the fruit, so you can do it without fear.

In addition to bananas, this recipe brings crystal sugar to shine hair, and whole milk, which helps moisturize the hair. Write down the ingredients and get to work:

You will need:

  • 1 ripe banana;
  • 1 tablespoon crystal sugar;
  • 6 tablespoons whole milk;
  • 1 tablespoon hydrating mask;
  • 1 tsp of vegetable oil.

A hint: Use the amount of mask you normally apply to your hair. Since youtuber has a lot of hair and is very long, she used 2 tbsp, but if your hair is shorter, you can decrease it.

Another modification you can make is with vegetable oil: although youtuber uses sweet almond oil, it indicates that you can use the oil of your choice.

Now that you have everything at hand, just follow the step by step below:

1. In a blender, beat the banana, crystal sugar and milk until well blended;

2. Pass the mixture to another container and add the amount of mask you normally use;

3. Add vegetable oil and mix well;

4. Wash hair only with shampoo, wipe off excess water with towel and apply mask;

5. Pass the product lock by lock from top to bottom, always gloving very well;

6. After you are done with the locks, apply the rest of the product to your hair and let it work for 20 minutes;

7. Rinse the hair, already taking the opportunity to detangle and remove all the product, and apply the conditioner normally;

8. Apply a thermal protector, dry your hair and you're done!

In the video, Julia Doorman tells that her hair was very soft and silky, with a wonderful shine. Check out:

She also felt that her hair got a little heavy, because this mask is powerful, but the next day that sensation was gone.

Youtuber also points out that this hydration is also excellent for curly hair, which has a greater tendency to become dry because of the difficulty that natural oils face to reach the ends.
