Different ways to use ice

It may seem strange, but ice cubes are very useful not only for leaving drinks cold and preserving food, but also for contributing to some day-to-day activities. Here are different ways to use ice at home.

Improvised fridge

Is the fridge full, has the power run out or has a problem occurred with your fridge? To keep food fresh and always fresh, set up a makeshift refrigerator by depositing several ice cubes inside a large Styrofoam box. Then just store drinks and food to keep them fresh all the time. So that ice does not melt very easily, the tip is to add one to two pounds of salt inside the Styrofoam box.

Stain remover

Stained your favorite coffee, chocolate or wine clothes? Accidents happen, but there is a solution. Rubbing ice cubes helps to slowly remove the dark stain without damaging or altering the texture of the fabric.

Take a few ice cubes and pass the stained area with gentle movements. Then remove excess moisture with a dry towel. Ready, stains removed in minutes.

Watering can

Plants need water to stay hydrated and healthy at all times. This requires watering them daily. But how do you keep them watered when you have to spend a few days away?

So that the plants will not wilt and run out of water for days, simply place several ice cubes inside a small to medium sized Styrofoam box (depending on the size of the pot) with holes underneath and place above ground inside the pot. As the ice melts, the water will water the root of the plant and ensure hydration.

Gum Strips

Who has never had a gum sticking to their favorite blouse or pants? Very calm at this time, stripping gum from the clothes has a solution and the piece is in perfect condition in a few minutes. You can remove the sticky gum by rubbing an ice stone inside out.

By wiping the fabric with ice, you may notice that the low temperature hardens the chewing gum and gradually releases it. If necessary, it is possible to complete the removal of all the gum with the help of a blunt knife. Make light movements and pay careful attention not to tear the fabric.
