How to Make Homemade Lip Moisturizer

Necessary materials

The materials required will be: a glass becker or a graduated glass refractory, a tablespoon, a pan, a small wooden spatula or a glass stick, a pin and a 20g glass or acrylic pot with lid. Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon shea butter (4g);
  • 1/2 tbsp cocoa butter (3g);
  • 1 tablespoon flake beeswax (4g);
  • 1 tablespoon (or 40 ml) of almond vegetable oil (not sweet almond) or grape seed;
  • 2 to 3 drops of essential oil (choose an aroma you like);
  • 1 capsule of vitamin E (can not be ampoule).

Way of doing

Before starting the preparation, clean with alcohol all utensils that will be used and let them dry well. Already separate the exact quantities you will need from each material to make it easier to prepare homemade lip balm.

  1. Put about three fingers of water into the pan and place the refractory inside it. Let it warm over low heat.
  2. Then insert all solid ingredients into the glass container in a water bath and stir until melted. The process may take up to 4 minutes.
  3. Once this is done, it is time to pour the almond oil and stir the mixture well.
  4. Remove the container from the pan and place the vitamin E capsule, piercing the package with the pin.
  5. Then add between two or three drops of the essential oil and stir. At this time, the mixture should be less hot so that the oil does not evaporate but does not let it get too cold, otherwise it will harden.
  6. The next step is to put the mixture in the acrylic or glass jars.
