Research points to childhood trauma as cause of cellulite

Getting in a bikini is no easy task when we are disturbed by those unwanted holes. However, if you have this problem, you are not alone. 80% of women have cellulite.

A recent study by Venezuelan psychologist Martha Sanchez Navarro pointed out that lack of exercise and poor circulation are not always the cause of cellulite. Childhood trauma is also among the reasons why women suffer so much from this problem.

The psychologist pointed out that our emotions need to find ways out through physical symptoms. And any stress in childhood? How to have many rules to obey? suppresses creativity, and can lead to cellulite in later life.

This may sound a little unlikely, but the psychologist isn't the only one who believes our emotions can make such a visible mark on us.

American natural beauty expert Alexander Barani agrees: "Our emotional lives play a big role in the physical effects of our bodies." According to the doctor, repression of feelings can lead to even more wrinkles!

However, some factors such as malnutrition, or extreme diets, can contribute to cellulite in the thighs, buttocks and even the belly. Smoking, not drinking enough water and ingesting excess salt can also lead to the emergence of such holes.
