What happens to the skin if you don't take off your sleep makeup

Do you always take makeup off your face before bed? Or do you get so tired sometimes that you leave it behind? A recent survey showed that 1/3 of women interviewed confessed to sleeping at least twice a week. They said they did it even though they knew it could cause skin damage, such as blemishes, or even leave brittle eyelashes.

The question is: if it is common knowledge that makeup sleep is bad for your skin and beauty, why do so many people get careless when removing it? For many it is a matter of priorities. When you get home after a long day at work, there are a lot of things to do and skin care is left aside.

An American, to test the effects of makeup on the skin, decided not to remove it not only for a day, but for a whole month. While showering, he was trying not to get his face wet. The results, analyzed using a special 3D camera, showed pigmentation, ruptured veins, enlarged pores, wrinkles, skin dryness and small white cysts around the eyelashes, besides a tired appearance.

Reversing the damage was not simple. Even removing all the makeup and using moisturizers and cosmetics for the face, spots continued to appear, as well as redness, itchy eyes, dry lips, and cracked skin at the corner of the mouth.

Expert evaluation showed that the skin was biologically about 10 years older than before. This was especially because of the buildup of environmental pollutants, which drove the generation of free radicals, contributing to the breakdown of collagen and elastic, structures that support young skin.

So never forget: no matter how tired, busy or lazy, always remove all makeup before bed. After all, it is something that can be done quickly and avoids damage for life.
