White teeth for the wedding day

Perfect dress, organized party and chosen decoration. Everything seems to be practically ready to guarantee perfect photos and an unforgettable wedding video, right? But know that you can look even more beautiful for the big day.

In addition to makeup and hairstyle, the bride's smile is one of the most talked about by guests. And for that, nothing better than having healthy white teeth. The dentist Susany Caldas explains the existing whitenings in the market and gives some tips to ensure white teeth for the wedding day.

Basically, there are two types of tooth whitening: one by laser or the homemade. • Lightening by light provides the fastest result than conventional. That's because we use a stronger gel than homemade ?, comments the dentist.

Brides who prefer to do the conventional, should see the dentist as soon as possible. "The home whitening takes about three weeks for the person to check the result," explains Susany.

How it works

For laser bleaching, the whitening gel, called carbamide peroxide, is applied without contact with the gums and lips. "After applying the whitening gel, we put the light so that there is activation of the product, which will speed up the whitening process," explains the professional.

Already the so-called homemade, the bleaching is done with the aid of a mold. ? In this type of whitening, we use a weaker gel compared to that made with laser. Therefore, we recommend that the patient repeat the procedure in order to have more effective effects ?, says Susany.

Duration of the proceedings

Regardless of the type of whitening chosen by the bride, the result lasts on average two years. "As with any aesthetic procedure, the patient needs to take certain care, whether in food or even in daily life," explains the dentist.

Having a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables also helps in preserving whitening. "The patient must not eat pigmented foods such as soda, coffee, chocolate, and sauces," Susany suggests.

According to Susany, it is extremely important to visit the dentist regularly, in addition to properly cleaning the teeth after every meal. "The use of toothpaste for brushing, besides flossing is of fundamental importance for the prevention of oral health and also for the preservation of whitening," he says.

Professional's Choice

It is common that after the procedure the patient feels some sensitivity in the teeth. "I recommend using sensitive toothpaste before and after whitening," Susany suggests.

Therefore, you need to be alert and consult the appropriate professional to perform the operation. "Regardless of the type of dental treatment the person is going to have, it is recommended to have a suitable and extremely reliable professional," says the dentist.
