Do dishes with detergent or bar soap?

Washing dishes requires unsuspecting care. To the dishwasher every day, this statement may sound almost obvious, but the truth is that it is important to know the differences between the products when deciding which one to buy at the supermarket.

Dishwasher

For those who use the dishwasher, care needs to be doubled to save money and also so that misuse does not damage the appliance.

Please note that it is best to use only those parts that are not delicate or require special attention. The tendency, after some time washing the dishes in the dishwasher, is that it takes some scratches or even loses the original shine, so that exquisite games should continue to be washed by hand. In addition, it is worth using a tablet or drying liquid so that no drop marks appear during drying.

Some models are suitable for washing pans and bowls, but most have one or the other restriction in this regard. Be sure to check the manufacturer's directions and instructions to avoid inconvenience or even damage.

It is generally not recommended to use laundry detergent when using the dishwasher. This is because the substances chosen by the factories to compose the soap and detergent formula are specifically for this purpose and are not aggressive to the internal components (whether metals or plastics) of the appliance.

Washing by hand

In hand washing, the choice of stone soap, detergent or washing powder depends on the preferences and needs of the buyer. Detergent is most effective at removing grease accumulated in the dishes, but at the same time is much more aggressive to the environment after use. This is because the detergent is made from petroleum products that, according to environmentalists, is not biodegradable.

Bar soap, in turn, is made from oil and fat (vegetable or animal) and is therefore completely biodegradable. While detergent accumulates in rivers and lakes where it will stop after being washed away, causing large layers of highly polluting foam, bar soap simply dissolves in water.

Try to use the detergent only to wash pots and pans that are very greasy, giving preference to bar soap when the dishes are reduced to plates, cutlery and glasses. This way, besides saving (bar soap yields more and is cheaper than detergent), you will be helping to preserve the planet.
