Men, women and their fantasies

It is well known that men and women view love relationships in different ways. Of course, the same distinction of thoughts and goals applies to sex.

In the latter case, anything goes from imagining an involvement with a famous person to fantasizing ardent encounters with strangers who will never meet again. What does science say?

Scholars at the Universidad de Granada, Spain, conducted research involving 2,250 people, aged 18 to 73, who had experienced a heterosexual relationship for a minimum of six months.

Almost all respondents claimed to have fantasized about potentially pleasurable situations. That would be expected if it weren't for the fact that about 80% of volunteers also said they imagined situations that did not involve the feeling of pleasure.

Even more curious is the fact that one of the sexual fantasies ? uncomfortable? Most often cited by women was being forced to have sex. Among men, a new surprise, the most cited nuisance fantasy was homosexual involvement.

Women idealize pleasure for two

The most common fantasies among women in general are situations involving being loved. The female brain, even when it comes to sex, tends to be more romantic and emotional. The frequency with which women claim to think of sex or sexual fantasies is much lower than men's, a few times a month.

Men dream of promiscuity

Although they also eventually fantasize about their royal partners, men have a greater inclination for promiscuity. This means that they often fantasize about situations considered wrong by society. Their intimate desires are generally exploratory. They imagine sex involving more than two people, for example, much more often and easily than women. In addition, previous research has found that men think of sex at least once every seven seconds.

According to Dr. Logan Levkoff, a HuffPost columnist, having sexual fantasies is fundamental to human health. After the skin, the brain is the most sexual organ we have. We must use it. We should have an active life about sexual fantasies, which do not make us promiscuous beings nor mean that we have problems in our current relationship.
