Research points to activities mothers miss most

Although being a mother is a gift to women's lives, a recent study found that they miss many things they could do before they had their babies.

Learn what are the main actions moms miss the most:

  • Lying in bed for a few hours just to relax or watch TV;
  • Have an uninterrupted night of sleep or sex with your partner;
  • They can be spontaneous, making last-minute plans changes;
  • Eat out without stress;
  • Travel to relax;
  • Shop in peace with friends;
  • Go to parties with friends or partner quietly;
  • To be able to prepare a complete meal for the family without being interrupted.

The study, commissioned by TV host Kirstie Allsopp, found that more than two-thirds of American mothers are unprepared for how stressful it is to have a new baby.

One in four mothers said that a friend or relative would offer to take care of their baby so they could have a little time for themselves, this would be the most helpful thing anyone has ever done for them in the weeks after giving birth.
