The cooking tea? or bridal shower? It's an old fashioned way that helps the bride complete the extensive list of kitchen, bathroom and laundry appliances before moving to the new home. Does the future wife invite her friends, cousins, aunts, sisters, sisters-in-law and mother-in-law to spend time? usually one afternoon? opening presents, eating and talking about the lives of others.
The traditional joke is to try to guess the gifts received before opening them. If the bride gets it right, choose a punishment for the guest who took the gift; if the bride makes a mistake, she is the one who punishes her. But tradition can be reinvented and modified if the goal is fun. Check out five new games to do with your guests.
1 ? Who am I?
The bride chooses a famous person and writes that person's name on paper, which will be inside an envelope. The purpose of the guests is to guess who was the chosen celebrity, but this should be done by asking questions that can only be answered with? Yes? or? no ?, such as? are you a man ??,? are you blonde ?? and are you over 30 years old? The first guest to hit the celebrity name wins the joke.
2 ? What was she wearing?
The bride leaves the room for a few minutes, and meanwhile the guests need to describe in detail the clothes she was wearing. Details such as colors and fabrics, for example, should not be forgotten. Finally, the guest with the most hits wins the gift.
3? Affinities game
Days before tea, one of the guests should send the groom a series of questions about him and his relationship with the bride, things like where did you meet, what is your favorite color? and "what does she do that pisses you off," for example. Responses will be recorded on paper and properly stored until the day of the event.
Then, at a certain time during tea, the same questions are asked of the bride to see how much she knows about her lover. With each wrong answer, she is punished.
4? I've seen this scene before
As the guests arrive, each is given a paper in which to write a funny situation that has happened between her and the bride. All tickets will be placed in one box and read out of order to the bride, a friend or guest. She will try to guess who lived that scene. With each mistake, it is punished.
5? Handbag Bingo
The bride, or a friend, is reading a list of objects that can be found in a woman's purse. Meanwhile, the guests are removing from their respective bags the objects that are being "sung". At the end of the list, the guest who removed the most objects wins a prize.
You may want to buy some cheap gifts first, to give away the guests who win the games. When choosing these awards, keep in mind that they should be just small reminders of the pleasant moments spent at tea, so you don't have to spend much.
