6 ways to iron without ironing

For most women, ironing is not on the list of favorite household chores. Besides requiring a considerable amount of time, the activity is responsible for back pain as it is always performed in the same position. And what about the heat? On hot days, ironing becomes even more unpleasant.

However, in some cases the task must be performed. Some pieces should even be ironed, such as shirts (see at the end of the article how to make ironing easier!).

The good news is that there are certain tricks for flattening clothes without using iron. These tips are great for emergencies, unforeseen events, and travel, and apply if your clothes are wrinkled (not wrinkled!). Here are 6 ways to iron without ironing.

1. Shower

The shower trick is already an old acquaintance, but it works. When taking a shower, close the bathroom vents and turn the shower on in a warm position. Hang the clothes on a hanger. The steam from the water will crush the clothes and make it smooth.

2. Hair Dryer

The hair dryer can also be an ally when ironing clothes. Hang the garment on a hanger and direct the hot air to the laundry. Keep a distance of 6 inches (15 cm) between the dryer and the piece to prevent the fabric from burning. If there is any crumpled part, wet slightly and direct the wind from the dryer.

3. Flat Iron

Strange as it may seem the flat iron can also replace iron in some cases. This method works for small wrinkles, sleeves and collars. Turn on the flat iron and let it warm up. When it is at medium temperature, iron it through your clothes as if you were going through your hair. There are flat iron that can be used on wet hair, in which case it is possible to moisten the area that is more wrinkled and iron the hair at a low temperature.

4. Clothes Dryer

Put the wrinkled clothes in the clothes dryer. Soak half a half, or a cloth, and turn the dryer on medium or soft for about 15 minutes. Drying the wet clothes will produce a steam that will leave the wrinkled piece very smooth.

5. Water

If you are in a hurry the ideal is to put on the clothes and spray water on the wrinkles of the piece. It sounds strange, but the clothes will dry naturally on your body and get wrinkled free.

You can also hang your clothes on a hanger, spray some water all over the garment, and let it dry naturally in a sunny open place. The process will take around one hour. The fabric will relax with moisture and heat, removing the wrinkles, and the sun will dry.

6. Towel

Leave the garment on a flat surface and place a damp towel directly on the garment. This method takes longer than usual, but your clothes should be relatively smooth!
