All about veganism

Veganism is a life philosophy for people who avoid animal products, whether these foods or not.

Lately, has this practice become very common in many countries, being influenced also by Hindu ideologies? which preach respect to all living creatures, including animals.


Vegan Types

There are three types of vegans: Those who do not use or consume animal products, those who reject the fact that animals are considered? Products? and the use of animal products for any purpose and ultimately vegans that totally eliminate animal products from their diet.

Vegan food

Vegan diets, when properly planned and properly followed, can help prevent obesity, heart and kidney disease, cancer, type 2 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and other degenerative diseases. However, when poorly structured, these diets can result in a lack of vitamin B12, iron, vitamin D, calcium, iodine and omega-3 fatty acids.


Some items that make up a vegan diet are tofu, tempê and seitan. In the preparation of vegan foods, ingredients of animal origin can and should be replaced by products of plant origin.

Vegetable milk can also be used, and its most popular form is soy milk. There are also vegetable cheeses and eggs can be substituted for apple puree. Meats of plant origin include soy meat and gluten.

Vegan Celebrities

Some celebrities have already joined the vegan diet, including Michelle Obama, Natalie Portman, Ellen DeGeneres and Zooey Deschanel. On her recent visit to Brazil, the first American lady ordered a vegan menu, but she considers herself a vegetarian.
