Women in the US and Venezuela are opting for extreme and drastic weight loss treatment, which involves wearing a size patch that fits their tongue to make eating painful.
The patch was developed and released by Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Nikolas Chugay in 2009. The product is made from a piece of abrasive material, usually used to repair hernias and has had results with weight loss.
The product is sewn to the tongue using six stitches and the patient is instructed to make a liquid diet.
