What is the best fabric to paint?

As explained by the artisan, the fabrics that have better acceptance are those made with 100% cotton. Fabrics that have a small percentage of synthetic fiber also provide good results.

"But as a general rule we can say that the finer the fiber of the fabric, the easier it will be for the paint to slide with the brush," Isabel says.

Before starting work, take a test to see if the result will be satisfactory. On a small piece of cloth, apply the paint and wait for it to dry. If the result is positive, the type of material is appropriate to be painted.

It is important to note that after purchasing the fabric, it should be washed at home to remove dirt from exposure, being careful not to use products that change their fiber or properties and is not recommended to use any type of fabric softener.

Before you start painting the fabric, it is also advisable to iron it so that all folds can be eliminated so that the paint can slip more easily.
