How long does each beauty product last?

Cosmetics are great allies for treating and enhancing female beauty, but if not used properly, they can cause unwanted reactions. To avoid problems such as redness, itching or even more severe allergic skin and nail reactions, you should be aware of the application information of the product and be sure to check the expiration date of each.

Expired product place is in the trash. There's no point in pitying the half-finished cream, the wonderful shade you love to wear, or the lipstick you've rarely tried. It is better to invest in new products than to risk health. But how do you know how long each beauty product lasts? Check now the average length of some beauty items and know the right time to discard them.

Mascara to eyelashes

The eyelash mask lasts an average of three months. If it looks sticky or even dry and jammed, it is probably past its expiration date.

Expired mascara is a strong candidate for the proliferation of bacteria that can cause eye infections. It is therefore recommended to discard the entire eyelash mask packaging and not to reuse the brush to avoid contamination.

Nail polishes

If in nine months the nail polish looks different and peels off your nails more easily or you notice any change in the appearance of the product on both the packaging and nails, it is time to discard the bottle. But if well kept and stored in a suitable place, away from sun exposure, enamels can last up to one year.

Creams

Like the eyelash mask, face and body creams are also strong candidates for causing skin irritation if contaminated with bacteria. It is therefore important to keep the pots always tightly closed after use.

The creams have a shelf life of up to one year, but if the texture has changed, making it more concentrated, avoid using and throw away the cream.

Perfumes

Perfumes have a shelf life of up to two years. With each spray, the air enters the bottle causing the fragrance to oxidize. This alters the original scent, leaving the fragrance increasingly faint, especially when passing on the skin.
