How to organize wires and cables

One of the main difficulties when organizing the house or trying to keep it always tidy is the bundle of wires and cables that come together near computers and other electronic equipment.

However, there are some tips that can help when leaving this pile of wires organized and hidden to prevent falls and always leave the house looking cleaner and more organized. After all, scattered cables give the impression that the house is messy even when it is not. Here are some suggestions for wire management tools and tips on keeping your cables in order:

Nylon clamps

The clamps are firm and harder to open. They are ideal for organizing wires that do not need to be loosened often. Nylon cable ties are great for bundling sturdier wires because they can handle the weight of thicker cables.

Velcro Wire Organizer

Velcro tapes are great for bundling threads that need to be fastened and loosened frequently. They can be used to secure cables when cleaning the house or even to keep the wires always organized.

In addition to being practical because they are easy to open and close, velcro tapes are a cheap option and can be found even at computer stores.

Flexible cable organizer

This organizer comes in the shape of a hose, but it is spiral cut and very malleable so that the wires fit into it. This may be the best tool to make cables more hidden and tidy. It is advisable to buy in a color similar to the surface where the wires will be, so that they are more camouflaged.

Hooks

Suction cup, adhesive or nail hooks are good for hanging long cables to prevent them from reaching the floor. But the hooks do not hide the wires and someone or something can get tangled in the wires. This is a more effective solution for wires running behind cabinets as they hang behind furniture without being exposed.

Tips for keeping the wires organized

Try to leave only the necessary wires and cables connected to any equipment. Store less frequently used items in an organizer box. Another suggestion is to try to bundle as many wires as possible and arrange them with one of the tools suggested above.

If any cables run through the floor or wall, use a wall or floor color channel to hide and protect the cable. Another tip is to opt for handsets with wireless technology to avoid the increase of wires in your home.
