How to use water temperature for your beauty

We cannot think of beauty without thinking of water. After all, it is present from the amount of fluid we ingest daily, even in the composition of cosmetics. Almost every beauty and hygiene ritual we perform daily is only possible with water. But have you ever stopped to think that not all temperatures are favorable to our beauty?

First and foremost, you need to know your skin type and give preference to the right products for you.

Ice water

In winter it's hard to think of any benefit of ice water for our skin, right? However, there are some beauty tricks, which are only possible if the water is very cold.

Did you know that dipping your hand into a container of cold water speeds up the process of drying the enamel, especially the dark colors? Yes, water at a very low temperature helps in fixing nail polish colors.

Cold water

The health and beauty of the skin of the face depends on this water temperature. Cold water and mild ph soap is the best pair to remove impurities from the face daily.

In addition to closing the pores, preventing greasiness and the appearance of acne, cold water also causes constriction of blood vessels reducing the redness present in some areas of the face.

Slightly warm water

This temperature is ideal for rinsing hair. The capillary cuticles work like our facial pores, that is, they need a lower temperature to be closed. And do you know what the result is? Brighter hair and less frizz. The greasiness of the wires also depends a lot on the water temperature. The warmer, the more likely it is to get oily hair and hair dermatitis.

Lukewarm

Warm water is ideal for bathing as it prevents dryness of the skin. This temperature is also best suited to soften facial pores and nail cuticles.

Hot water

It's the most delicious temperature for long winter baths isn't it? However, it is the one that most damages our skin. Hot water can wipe out our natural protective skin layer, leaving a reddened, dry skin on some specific areas of the body. There is one exception where the higher water temperature favors our beauty. For those who have the habit of using the blade to shave, the heat helps soften the pores thus leaving the cut closer to the hair.

In some seasons it is more complicated to specify which water temperature to use. However, keep in mind one important rule: Face skin is more sensitive than body skin, so give preference to lower temperatures in the facial area.
