A tip for those with the greasiest hair is not to replace the above hydration water with milk. Although some recipes bring this ingredient, it tends to increase oil production by the scalp, aggravating the problem.

Does cornstarch in hair really work?

In the world of beauty and homemade recipes taught by bloggers and youtubers, we often come across tips that actually have no effect on skin or hair. Worse yet, in some cases, some ingredients can even be dangerous.

Fortunately, this is not the case with cornstarch hydration, as it is excellent for enhancing the effect of the industrialized mask. Cornstarch has the ability to seal the strands so that the mask can act better inside the cuticles.

However, cornstarch alone has no such effect, as the grain is too large and cannot penetrate the strands before being dissolved in water. Thus, it is no use to pass the cornstarch powder in the hope of moisturizing the strands, because it is not possible to achieve this effect.

However, cornstarch powder may still be beneficial to the hair, but it is indicated for those who suffer from excess oils. In this case, the trick is to spread the dried grains on the roots to absorb the excess oil, as if it were a dry shampoo, and then comb and pat with your hand to spread it.
