A study by sociology researcher Laura Watt of the University of Manchester in England showed that 18-30 year olds are conservative when it comes to monogamy and fidelity. Some interesting research data are:
- Only 1 in 10 Britons accept / forgive their partners' betrayal.
- 8 out of 10 respondents said it was wrong to see someone committed to having another partner.
- 9 out of 10 feel that betrayal in marriage is unjustifiable under any circumstances.
- 37% consider casual sex to be wrong.
The researcher told the Daily Mail that these data show a revolution in British attitudes toward sex. "Young people are still extremely conservative when it comes to having more than one partner at a time," he said.
