The secrets of female orgasm

The female orgasm still holds many mysteries, even with all the research already done and all the manuals available on books, websites and even movies. Why is it so difficult to get there and what is the mechanism that drives female pleasure? Recurring questions, especially after women have made public the fact that they often fake orgasm to please their partner.

Is the clitoris the key to orgasm?

The clitoris is a small organ located in the upper part of the vagina, exactly where the small lips meet. It is the only organ of the human body entirely intended for pleasure. That's right: the clitoris has no other function except to give women the sensation of pleasure.

When stimulated, this organ, which usually has 0.5cm, expands and can reach 2 centimeters. It has thousands of nerve endings, which explains its hypersensitivity to touch. This is why it is so common to hear reports of women who can only reach orgasm through clitoral stimulation. As wonderful as it sounds, it is not, however, the only way to "get there."

And the point? G ??

The notorious point? G? it would be an area, already inside the vagina, capable of providing even more intense pleasure than the clitoris. Although there are several studies on the subject, it is not yet known if it is real or just the result of the female imagination. The fact is that science has not yet obtained convincing evidence of its existence. But there are several testimonials from women who claim to have achieved orgasm through it, which would be located on the? Front wall? of the vagina.

What does the brain have to do with it?

As everyone knows, our nervous system is responsible for sending the brain the information corresponding to the most diverse human sensations. Feel pain, heat or cold and even know the difference between? Dry? it's wet? This is only possible because we have nerve endings scattered throughout the body that identify to the brain what we are touching.

Now researchers at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands say the brain is also responsible for female orgasm. The group subjected several women to positron emission tomography scans to analyze blood flow inside the brain during climax.

What can be observed was that this flow was much smaller in the orbifrontal zone on the left side of the brain, which proves that this area is closely linked to pleasure. In a second test, the CT scan was performed after the researchers asked the volunteers to fake an orgasm. This time the brain flow remained at a normal level.

Apparently, the areas located near the vagina, inside the vagina, or even in our brain work together so we can feel pleasure during intercourse. If you have difficulty reaching orgasm, it may be worth consulting with a gynecologist to clarify doubts and make you safer about it. Often the barriers that prevent you from enjoying the delights of sex are far more psychological than, in fact, clinical.
