11 things I'd like to know at 20

Check out some advice from those who have gone through this phase and what can make a difference in your life when you're still 20 years old:

  1. Use sunscreen daily. At least around the eyes and above the lips. Later you will understand why.
  2. Cut the umbilical cord when necessary. It's not because it's your family members who are entitled to make you feel bad and misunderstood.
  3. Make small savings deposits every time you receive a payment. You will advance your freedom in the future.
  4. Rejection is not a sign that you should stop doing what you love. It is part of what you love.
  5. If you have trouble with a friend, talk. Don't simply disappear, that's no use.
  6. Tell the truth. Lying makes people stop trusting you.
  7. A lot of people will say that you should get married before 30 and that being single is synonymous with failure. Do not believe it. Expect the person who will really arouse that will in you.
  8. You're beautiful just the way you are. Your skin is great. Your metabolism too. You have many values. Stop looking at others to fuel your self esteem. It's you who have to find yourself amazing.
  9. Be nicer to your mother. Most of the things she does that annoy you will do the same in the future.
  10. Do not be competitive. Be collaborative. There is room for everyone.
  11. Your dream life is not something that will suddenly appear. You build your own life by throwing away rejections, being selective, having good friends, ignoring the guys who need to be ignored, acknowledging your own mistakes, and listening to your heart.
