A couple of New York best friends, Timothy Goodman and Jessica Walsh? Both designers decided to launch an innovative experiment: find out if they could fall in love in 40 days.
Did they create the site? 40 Days Of Dating? (in Portuguese,? 40 Dating Days?), where they narrate the 40 days of experience as boyfriends. The site launched on July 10, and quickly went viral, attracting the attention of the entire blogosphere, and even Hollywood producers interested in using the story for filmmaking.
Timothy was never able to have a lasting relationship, as he was always afraid of getting too involved with a girl. Already Jessica calls herself an "incurable romantic". She was looking for a perfect man and so ended up having some disappointments in her love life.
To combat these problems and finally find true love, the two agreed to try to solve this problem together in 40 days. And it worked.
During this time, the two friends did everything real couples do: romantic dates, sex, fights, weekly couple therapy, and various other routine things. Then they posted their daily progress together on the internet. From this experience, there are five reasons why this experience can be very positive, check it out:
- There are no perfect couples
On the 13th, Timothy said he didn't see his relationship progressing, all the more so because his partner's peculiarities bothered him. About that, she argued that when he sees a pretty girl, he soon focuses on her, and it pisses her off. He wrote: "I began to understand the importance of keeping the peace, instead of always wanting to be right." This importance is understood through the experience among people who have things in common, such as good friends. - Friendship is the foundation of any great romance.
After visiting the therapist on the 31st day of romance, Timothy wrote: “I love how Jessica lets me be myself. Also, we have a lot of mutual friends, and with that, I feel comfortable being sociable at parties. Although reserved, she's a lot of fun, and amuses me, too.? - Sex when it's good doesn't go out of your head
On day 23, he wrote about Jessica: “She's great in bed. I've been thinking every day about the intensity of sex between us and how it makes me feel.
