Bird Feeder: Step-by-Step to Brighten Your Home

If you love animals and find cute birds walking around, this super easy tutorial is perfect for you.

Leaving a pot with seed mix (sunflower, birdseed, millet and others) is an old custom and still very successful today. Another thing you can also do to attract birds is to suspend a water fountain.

There are plenty of bird feeders and feeders available in stores, but if you prefer you can create your own feeder with some basic and easy to find items. This will give you something personalized and creative rather than an industrialized product.

To make the feeder at home, you'll need: peanut butter, bird seed mix, toilet paper roll (no paper) and a wide satin ribbon in the color you prefer.

It is not necessary to buy a very large jar of peanut butter because it will only serve as a base for sticking the seeds.

Materials

Here's how easy it is to make the bird feeder with toilet paper roll:

Step 1: Using a spatula or table knife, apply peanut cream all over the roll. The layer should be thick so that the seeds stick better.

Step 2: Place the seed mix in a glass or plastic container and roll the toilet paper roll into the seeds to fix them. Lightly tap the roll to remove excess.

Step 3: Cut out the satin ribbon to your preferred size, depending on where you suspend the feeder. Thread the ribbon into the roll and make a knot or loop to secure it in place. It can be in a tree, as in the example.

The end result is a beautiful bird feeder that will bring even more beauty to your home, balcony, balcony or garden. Like the idea? Do not forget to share with your friends.
