Bride organizes marriage in 10 days after groom is diagnosed with cancer

Chris Clark, 41, was diagnosed with incurable stomach cancer in October last year. A few minutes after the diagnosis, he proposed to his girlfriend Charlotte, 30, in marriage. Charlotte organized a last-minute wedding thanks to the help of family and friends.

He had begun to have stomach cramps during the holidays, which increased in intensity, and he was also tired and losing his appetite.

Charlotte and Chris were married last October at St. Gregory Church in Offchurch, Warwickshire. Chris wanted to have a quick ceremony, but Charlotte realized her dream of having a church wedding. The groom said, "I already knew I wanted to marry Charlotte, so when they said my illness was incurable, I knew what I was going to do."

Chris and Charlotte were sitting in a hospital waiting room five minutes later in shock when he turned to her and asked the question. Friends, family and locals have gathered to make the magic of marriage come true. Although they were invited a week in advance to the event, about 300 people shared the couple's big day.
