How to get blonde step by step

The hairdresser Pablo Gimenez explained one by one the measures that should be taken to keep the hair healthy and blond. Follow:

Step 1: Assess Hair Status

? The first step for those who want to go blonde is to know if the structure of the hair supports such a transformation and see the history of chemicals that have been made. If the hair is artificially colored it is always harder to get a high level of lightening. This also goes for hair with progressive, because the hair has a film that acts as a barrier to the action of bleach. In these specific cases, we have to be very careful not to exceed the healthy lightening level to not compromise the vitality of the hair ?.

Step 2: Starting Small

Instead of getting into the blonde at once, the ideal is to gradually make lighter strands. I like to start with a lot of locks interspersed with whitening because it gives the look natural, after all, all hair is lighter at the ends than at the root. It's hard to get a global blonde the first time. Thinking about hair health it is best to make more than one visit to the salon to gradually increase the level of lightening, always interspersed with good nutrition and reconstruction treatments, for lipid and protein replacement that help control yarn resistance, and hydration for Water replacement that helps in the suppleness and shine of the hair ?.

Step 3: Take it easy and don't try to force the process

Usually when lightening a dark tone hair, what happens is a lightening background drag, meaning we have a lot of natural residual pigment from the tone of your hair. That's why it's important not to push the discoloration too hard and to use a correct toner to counteract the pitch we can get.

Step 4: Getting the Tone with the Right Products

You can set the blonde tone you want with toners or shades. Understand the difference: With the use of toner in the salon, the effect is longer lasting. Some specific brands also provide hydration, which gives extreme shine and softness. When we use toning, the pigment can fill in the voids in the hair cortex that were filled by the old color, natural or artificial.

There are tinting products that help keep the tone of the blonde neutralized.But when we use only shaders, the pigments are very shallow between the cuticles of the wire, and therefore have little durability ?, explained Pablo.

Step 5: Light or dark root?

This choice depends mainly on your taste and the time you will need to touch up the root. The light root needs to be retouched much faster than the dark one. "Now talking about the blond tone, as a rule, in warm skins the shades of cold blond fall well, and in cold skins the shades of golden, almond and beige are good," says the hairstylist.

Step 6: Daily Care

Here's Pablo Gimenez's tips for keeping beautiful, healthy blond hair:

? All hair needs treatments, and discolored much more because of its damaged structure due to chemical.

So my recommendation is always to do a salon reconstruction once every twenty days or once a month, and to have at home basically 5 products:

  • shampoo, especially for the scalp;
  • hair conditioner;
  • mask for treatment? use once a week for nutrient replacement;
  • finisher for thermal protection and balance;
  • serum for shine, repair split ends, enhance treatment and also enhance shine ?.
