How to remove gel nails at home

Gel enamel is becoming a trend among Brazilian women. Although it takes around an hour and a half to apply, it lasts much longer than ordinary nail polish.

On average, gel nail polish lasts 15 to 20 days on nails without peeling or losing shine. So you can spend more time without going to a manicure.

In addition, because it is made in several layers, the nail is sturdier and less likely to break.

The disadvantage of gel nail polish, however, is that it is much more difficult to remove compared to ordinary nail polish. In fact, beauty salons and manicurists often charge for this service.

2. Using sandpaper, scrape the surface of the enamel

3. Dampen a piece of cotton on the nail polish remover and place it on the nail

4. Wrap the nails and cotton with the aluminum foil (glossy inside) and wait 7 to 10 minutes

5. Pull the aluminum up to check that the enamel has softened. If it is still hard, replace the aluminum foil and cotton

6. With the enamel already softened, scrape the enamel with a wooden stick

7. Capriche in nail care after removal

The nail polish remover and the gel nail polish itself can weaken your nails and make your skin drier, so it is important to invest in a good cuticle moisturizer and special products for this region of the body.

It is also recommended to protect your hands from the action of household chemicals such as bleach, disinfectant and other cleaning products. To avoid aggression, try wearing gloves to do your homework.

Another important tip is to avoid using acetone, which dries out the nail and the surrounding skin. Give preference to nail polish removers that do not contain this substance in their formula.
