There are various scents available in the market and at varying prices as well. However, if you prefer to make your products at home, take note of the recipes below.

Clothing flavoring

The flavoring can be sprayed on various pieces and even drawers, cabinets and wardrobes where you keep the clothes and bed, table and bath. However, avoid overspraying these enclosed furniture to avoid excessive moisture that may cause mold on clothing. Remember that the clothes flavoring It should not be used as ironing water.

Necessary materials

  • Plastic packaging with spray bottle;
  • 90 ml of deionized or distilled mineral water;
  • 10 ml of cereal alcohol;
  • 10 ml of essential oil of your choice.

Method of preparation

Mix all ingredients and when the solution is homogeneous, put it in the plastic spray bottle. That done, the product is ready for use.


Ironing water

Ironing water, other than flavoring water, should be used when ironing. It has the function of helping and facilitating this process and still leaves the clothes with a tasty aroma. We suggest to make it with the same essence chosen to make the flavoring, so you avoid a conflict of aromas.

Necessary materials

  • Mineral water;
  • Cereals alcohol;
  • Renex (can be found in flavor shops);
  • Tween (can be found in flavor shops);
  • Essence of your own;
  • 500 ml pet bottle;
  • Wooden toothpick;
  • Dropper;
  • Kitchen sponge for washing material;
  • Rubber gloves;
  • Food coloring;
  • Measuring cups of two sizes: small, counting from 5 ml, large with a capacity of 500 ml.

Method of preparation

  1. Pour 250ml of cereal alcohol into the large measuring cup.
  2. Put 10ml Renex in the small measuring cup and add to the cereal alcohol.
  3. Measure 5ml Tween small measuring cup and add to the cereal alcohol mixture in the large measuring cup.
  4. Complete the mixture with 5ml of lavender or other essence you prefer. Stir the mixture well with the long wooden toothpick.
  5. To add some color to your iron, mix some of the food coloring with cereal alcohol. Mix everything well into a glass and pre-test a separate container to see how many drops of the mix match the tone you want to give your ironing water.
  6. When you have found the right color mix, drip the diluted dye with the help of the eye dropper in the cereals alcohol + Renex + Tween + essence mixture.
  7. Stir the dye well with the toothpick until everything dissolves.
  8. Pour the alcohol + Renex + Tween + essence + diluted dye mixture into the pet bottle and top up the bottle with mineral water. Cap with the spray bottle and shake well.
  9. The vial will be slightly warmed and a light foam will form. However, it soon disappears.
  10. This done, your water is ready for use. Spray on bed, table and bath linen when ironing.
