Men lie more than women according to survey

Unsurprisingly for most women, men have a greater tendency to lie that we women. Now research by BMW Financial Services proves the information, providing data that demonstrate the differences between sincerity of men and women.

According to the survey, a normal man tells, on average, three lies a day. At the end of a year, this means a total of 1,092 lies uttered by male representatives, while women lie over the same period only 728 times.

The research also points out significant differences in the reasons why men and women lack sincerity. Women are more likely to lie about buying new clothes and shoes, for example. Again, nothing new, given the well-known discussion between the sexes about the amount of clothing needed for the women's wardrobe.

The numbers indicate that 39 per cent of women interviewed felt the need to lie about their acquisitions, compared to a total of 26 per cent of men.

About 20 percent of people interviewed consider it justifiable lie to miss workby inventing a disease or a family problem, for example. 13 percent of the total, too, consider it not harmful to lie to their partners about a betrayal.

According to University of Hertfordshire professor Karen Pine, lying is a vital trait for humans. "We think lying is bad, but in reality, the ability to deceive others has helped humans to survive as a species," says the scientist.
