Rejuvenate without surgical and plastic intervention

Almost all women dream of staying young and beautiful looking. However, almost the same number are afraid to face rejuvenating plastic surgery and all procedures involving surgery.

In this regard the market has already been renewed and brought new aesthetic treatments based on applications where the use of the scalpel is not necessary. They are called minimally invasive procedures. These treatments are used to make lips more attractive, reduce fine lines, wrinkles and even minimize scarring.

Plastic surgeon Marcelo Olivan, a specialist in cosmetic and restorative plastic surgery, explains that a medical evaluation is important and that the patient understands the various procedures.

"Each patient has a different profile and need, so an assessment is needed to indicate the best method, ie one that will bring a harmonious and natural result," says the expert.

With the help of Olivan and plastic surgeon Pablo Rassi FlorĂȘncio, Member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (SBCP), we have put together the most commonly used techniques and procedures available in the aesthetic market.

Botulinum Toxin

Also known as Botox, the substance is applied with an injection and used to reduce fine lines, wrinkles and crow's feet. ?THE botulinum toxin It works by preventing the contraction of the facial muscles that give rise to wrinkles. By relaxing the muscles, the repetitive movement of more expressive patients is avoided. This prevents the formation of static wrinkles and they soften ?, explains Florencio.

Chemical Peel

The procedure is less invasive because it uses a chemical solution that improves the appearance of the skin. The chemical is used to soften the texture of the skin. It removes damaged outer layers and is indicated for repairing damage caused by acne, UV radiation or irregular pigmentation ?, explains Olivan. After the removal of damaged skin, the area regenerates with new cells.

Dermal Filler

O fill It adds volume and has an immediate result in lip augmentation, improved surface contours, the appearance of some scars and the smoothing of wrinkles. Collagen, hyaluronic acid, polylactic acid and also the patient's own fat can be applied.

The result provides a rejuvenated skin. "The solution is temporary and noninvasive, but it requires retouching over time," says Olivan. Check out 4 substance options to use for dermal filler and their indications:

Collagen

For areas around the mouth and forehead collagen application is usually used. The procedure is also used to increase the volume of the lips.

Hyaluronic acid

The technique uses biocompatible substances, ie, that are absorbed by the body over the months. Its use fills the orbit-malar furrow, nasogenian (Chinese mustache) or wrinkles. The procedure can also be used to enlarge parts of the face such as jaw contour, lips and even hands. ? These substances bring more natural, lasting results, besides offering safety and greater application comfort and versatility in use ?, explains Florencio.

Polylactic acid

The material is a non-toxic and biodegradable synthetic stimulator. Its function is to stimulate the body to produce its own collagen. "The procedure helps to minimize the expression lines around the lips, increase thin lips and serves to fill deep nasolabial folds," explains Olivan.

Fat grafting

In the case of this procedure, the fat extracted from the patient himself is used in the application. Plastic surgeon Florencio explains that "after being aspirated from some donor area, usually from the abdomen or inner face of the knee, the fat is separated and purified". This fat is rich in stem cells, which benefits the skin quality result at the applied site.

?Fat grafting It can be applied to the face (cheek, chin, nasolabial fold, orbit-malar crease, jaw contour, etc.), the back of the hands, breasts, buttocks, thighs and other places. The results of this procedure are longer lasting than those of absorbable fillers and safer than nonabsorbable fillers ?, concludes Florencio.
