In times of information sharing on the internet, nothing is more present than photo updates on Facebook. But a new study from the University of Birmingham has revealed that photo posts, instead of bringing your friends closer, can get you away from them.
The doctor and professor Dr. David Houghton, who is the author of the report, pointed out that this is due to the fact that someone else's narcissism makes others tired. The study suggests that Facebook friends don't like to see pictures of you having fun with other friends, as they end up feeling out of the fun.
When you post photos on Facebook, they are being shared with people who care about you, not your general network of friends, so these friends expect your profile to contain information about you, not about others.
