The breastfeeding period is essential for the baby and also for the mother. Thinking about this and the difficulties and doubts that a? First time mother? may have, Dr. Marco Renato, coordinator of the Specialization Course in Comprehensive Attention to Maternal and Maternal Child Health at UFRJ School had the initiative to create an iPhone application called Breastfeeding to help in this phase. The app still has the approval of the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics.
The application is free and gives child development care tips since when it is still in the mother's belly. The app also features a vaccine calendar and a timer to count breastfeeding in each breast or to keep a history of twin children. You can save data and keep a history of breastfeeding and child development. The application can be downloaded directly from the Breastfeeding website, where you can check out more tips and procedures.
