Although pregnancy after 40 is considered risky, many famous women have passed through it. In some cases age was a sign of a long wait to get pregnant with treatment, in others it was at the discretion of the couple (or the couple) to wait until not only did the maternal instinct appear, but life and career were well established. After all, raising a child is not easy, and although the experience is unique, the responsibility it carries is too great for those not ready.
