Hair Schedule: Complete schedule to recover even the most damaged hair

Flat iron, dryer, chemical procedures, very hot water baths, sun exposure, sea, swimming pool? No matter how hard you try to avoid it, the hair is attacked almost daily, which makes your hair dry, brittle, frizzy and lifeless.

The capillary schedule (CC) emerged, then, with the proposal of? Recover? the liveliness of the most varied types of hair, taking into account the particularities of each case, efficiently and completely.

Sylvio Rezende, Hairdresser of the Tony By Sylvio Rezende Salon, defines the hair schedule as "a table design hair care reconstruction, hydration and hair mass returns and vitamins for a hair".

In other words, the capillary schedule is "a treatment schedule to replenish the nutrients needed so that the hair is always healthy," as hairdresser Luiz Eduardo Moreira, manager of the Jacques Janine unit, points out.

With this treatment system, which is done in a month and can be repeated as many times as needed, the strands are hydrated, nourished and rebuilt through weekly doses of different products and masks.

It sounds complicated, but not so much. It takes a little patience to understand how the schedule works and how it will be useful to your particular hair needs, and willingness to follow the treatment correctly. The advantages, however, usually outweigh: softer, shinier and completely healthy hair.

For Rezende, the capillary schedule is very efficient and super recommended for people who have undergone chemical aggressions, such as straightening, relaxation, progressive among others. In practice, say, it is like a table suggested by a doctor. Such as your medicines and your hours and ways of use. As long as the schedule is used properly, we will have an excellent recovery of the wires ?, he says.

Moreira adds that the capillary schedule is extremely valid for those who have the discipline and organization to follow it.

Are you curious to understand how the capillary schedule works and if it can even be useful in caring for your hair ?! Check out all the information below.

How to do CC: all you need to know

Sylvio Rezende explains that all people who have experienced some type of hair damage will benefit from the hair schedule. "It will serve to rebuild this hair and this fiber," he says.

Luiz Moreira points out that the schedule lasts one month. "If there is a need for continuity, it can be repeated until the wires are healthy, bright and resilient," he says.

Rezende suggests that the schedule be used on average up to three months or, in cases of large loss of hair mass, until the elasticity and health are restored.

It is noteworthy that there is the so-called "official hair schedule", consisting of eight hydrations, three nutrition and a reconstruction in the month. Usually, it is indicated for those who are starting with the procedure. Then with better looking hair, you can bet on a custom schedule.

Nowadays, by the way, it is not difficult to find different types of schedule on the Internet, and they serve as a guide especially for those who are starting, but the idea is that the person adapts the treatment stages to the needs of their hair. Not forgetting to always respect the minimum interval of 48 hours between procedures.

Below you know in detail the three processes of the capillary schedule:

Hydration

How she acts: Moreira explains that hydration replaces water and those nutrients that are part of the cream formulation used. Immediately the hair becomes softer to the touch and shinier.

Who needs: Rezende points out that all hair must be hydrated, even virgin hair, because the aggressions of the sun, beach, pool, hair dryer, etc. damage and open the scales, thus causing split ends, among other problems. Moreira adds that hydration is recommended for all hair at least once a week.

Overuse causes: possible damage to the wire. "Care should be taken with excess scalp creams, which can cause greasiness and scaling," says hairdresser Rezende.The minimum interval of 48 hours between sessions must be observed, and the cream must not remain in the hair longer than stipulated on the product package.

Moisturizing Substances: vegetable glycerin, glycerin (glycol, glycerin, glyceryD), bepantol, elastin and collagen protein (hydrolized collagen protein), botanical extracts, panthenol, aloe vera, vitamins, cetyl alcohol, sucrose, oat protein, rice protein, silk protein, hydrolyzed soy protein, hydrolyzed corn protein, honey, chocolate, among others.

Nutrition

How she acts: According to Moreira, the main purpose of nutrition is to replenish the lipids needed to restore the natural oiliness of the hair.

Who needs: people with dry, opaque and motionless hair, highlights Moreira. The result is silky hair, with weight and shine.

Overuse causes: "excess oil, leaving the hair greasy and heavy," says Moreira.

Nutritional Substances: ceramides, shea butter, cocoa butter (theobroma cacao butter), murumuru butter (astrocaryum murumuru seed butter), cupuacu butter (avocato butter), macadamia butter, butter marrow butter, argan oil, marrow oil, avocado oil, olive oil, coconut oil.

Reconstruction

How she acts: Sylvio Rezende points out that the reconstruction restores mass and protein in the hair, returning stiffness and strength to the hair. Moreira points out that the main protein that makes up the yarn is keratin, so it is extremely important to recharge keratin at least once a month. The hair will be fuller and more resistant.

Who needs: people with porous and brittle wires.

Overuse causes: may stiffen the wires too much. Rezende stresses that excess protein can cause yarn degradation. "This process of replacing proteins should be done at most every 15 days (not less), otherwise the wires will become very hard and thus can break," he says.

Reconstructive Substances: keratin, arginine, collagen, cysteine, creatine, wheat proteins and amino acids etc.

Recommended Masks / Products:

It is important to note that during the reconstruction (or restoration) phase, one can choose to use a keratin replenisher or a reconstructive mask. What is not recommended is to put liquid keratin in a mask that is already reconstruction (already has keratin). This is because excess keratin makes the strands hard and can lead to breakage.

Below, hairdresser Luiz Moreira suggests capillary schedules for specific cases. Remember, however, that there is no rule. The idea is that you bet on procedures (hydration, nutrition and reconstruction) and feel how your hair reacts, being able to detect "what it needs most".

Moreira reinforces the importance of respecting the minimum 48-hour interval between procedures. For example, if you hydrated on Monday at 7 pm, you can do another hydration, nutrition, or rebuild only after 7 pm on Wednesday.

Wetting: What is it and what is it for?

Wetting is one of the ways to make the nutrition stage in the hair schedule. Vegetable oils and butters are used for hair nourishment work, replenish the natural fat of the hair, providing balance and health. The result is smoother, heavier, shinier, frizz-free hair.

If you are wondering exactly what is the difference between wetting and hair nutrition, the answer is: wetting is a nutrition made exclusively with vegetable oils or butters (which excludes the use of nutrition masks except those for wetting only). .

Wetting can only be done with pure vegetable oils or butters (100% natural). They are easily found in health food stores, supermarkets or pharmacies (eg castor oil) and most do not cost much.

There is no rule when it comes to wetting. There are those who prefer to do with damp hair and who prefer to do with dry hair. Since each hair is unique, it is best for you to test and find out what is best for your hair (both regarding the product you choose and how you perform the procedure).

However, a known step-by-step is:

  1. The hair need not be clean and must be dry;
  2. Divide the hair into strands and apply the oil / butter to each one, from root to tip;
  3. Massage the scalp to absorb nutrients as well;
  4. Let it act for about an hour and a half;
  5. To remove, wash the hair, preferably with a clear shampoo that you already know and do not dry the hair.
  6. Thoroughly remove oil from hair, washing more than once if necessary.
  7. Finally, you can use a conditioner to close the wire cuticles.

Among the most used oils / butters in the wetting process are:

  • Specific Moisture Masks (eg Lola Olive Moisture);
  • Coconut oil;
  • Sweet almond oil;
  • Castor oil;
  • Extra virgin olive oil;
  • Avocado oil;
  • Hazelnut oil;
  • Argan oil;
  • Sunflower oil;
  • Linseed oil;
  • Grape seed oil;
  • Cupuassu butter;
  • Murumuru Butter;
  • Cocoa butter;
  • Cupuacu Butter.

There are also those who prefer to let moisturizing act on their hair overnight, sleeping with the oil on their hair. In this case, it is recommended to protect the pillow with a towel so that oil does not accumulate there.

How to know if my hair needs H, N or R?

This is probably the most common doubt when it comes to capillary timing. How to tell if hair needs hydration, nutrition or reconstruction?

Moreira points out that what defines the need is the condition of the thread: if it is healthy, the sessions are fewer and the more damaged the threads, the more sessions will be needed. But regardless, the three procedures are suitable for all hair types, since everyone goes through a process that can make them aware, whether these are climatic factors (wind, pollution), or chemical factors (straightening, stains) ?.

To know what your hair needs most, you should look at it: what condition is it in? Is it breaking? No shine? No swing? Thin? With split ends? Analyze these and other points.

It is also crucial to think through what procedures your hair has already gone through: dye? Straightenings? Discoloration? Progressive?

And also consider if your hair is thin, straight, thick, curly, oily etc.

It's hard to talk about a rule, but the guidelines below can help you realize what your hair needs most right now:

  • Dull hair, armed, embarrassed, hangover: they certainly need hydration. And remember: every hair needs hydration.
  • Frizzy, scruffy, porous hair: They probably need moisturizing or moisturizing.
  • Very thin hair, with split ends and brittle: probably need reconstruction.

Remembering that all hair will need hydration, nutrition and reconstruction at some point. Hair that needs a lot of hydration today, for example, may, in a month or two, need more rebuilding.

An important factor is to evaluate the porosity of your hair. The type of porosity indicates the ability of your hair to absorb water and also the substances (moisturizers, nourishing) you use to treat and care for them on a daily basis. The ideal is balance: neither too much nor too little.

If the porosity is too high, it means the hair cuticles are open, so you can do hair treatments, but the hair can't always hold back what is needed. On the other hand, if the porosity is very low, the cuticles are tightly closed, also resistant to treatments, as they cannot absorb the necessary substances.

Porosity Test

To evaluate the porosity of your hair, use the cup test: just take a glass of water at room temperature and put a strand of your clean hair (without any product) inside, leaving it there for seven minutes.

If the wire has floated, you have low porosity. With the cuticle tightly closed, your hair is probably resistant to creams and oils, not letting the products penetrate. Oil and heat can be your allies. When moisturizing, take a hot shower to get steam in and open your cuticle, then apply the mask, then seal the strands with oils such as coconut or avocado, for example. Constant wetting is important to help restore wire balance.

If the wire was in the middle of the glass, you have normal porosity. Ideally, its cuticle is slightly elevated, thus allowing treatments to be absorbed. It is noteworthy that those who have hair with normal porosity does not need hydration so consistently, since the hair easily absorbs moisture.

If the wire has sunk, you have high porosity. With cuticles wide open, the hair absorbs more moisture than it can hold, and has more difficulty retaining the substances offered in treatments. This type of hair is usually unstable in texture, dull, frizzy and easily tangled.Protein in this case is very important. But of course, without exaggeration, after all, excess makes the hair stiff and leads to breakage.

Common Hair Schedule Questions

Below you give the clarification for the main questions on the topic:

1. What shampoo / conditioner should I use during CC month?

? It is recommended that you always use the full line of the same manufacturer, because the products are developed in a way that complement each other ?, says Luiz Moreira.

Kely Cristina Almeida, hairdresser in Piracicaba (SP), suggests using, during the hair schedule, a shampoo and conditioner that you like. If you have the opportunity to buy shampoo of the same brand as the mask, the better, but it is at your discretion. But generally I do not recommend that people with badly damaged hair use anti-residue shampoo? Should they use at most one transparent shampoo for reconstruction?

2. After every process should I wash my hair normally and apply conditioner?

"It is not necessary, because the creams used in the processes already have a conditioning function," explains Moreira.

3. Is it possible to make a cheap CC with just 3 products (a mask, extra virgin olive oil and vinegar)?

According to Kely, using these products may yield good results, but it all depends on the person's hair. It's all very relative, what is good for me may not be good for you. Hair that is not so damaged may benefit from this type of treatment. But in the case of totally damaged, lifeless hair, a more complex treatment with very specific products is likely to be needed. So, when in doubt, is it always nice to talk to a professional ?, he says.

4. After doing the CC for a month, when can I do it again?

Moreira explains that the CC can be repeated monthly, until the hair is healthy, with shine, movement and soft to the touch.

5. Where to start the hair schedule?

It is worth researching a lot about the subject and thus know your hair better, understand what type of treatment it needs most. If in doubt, talk to a hairdresser you trust. Is a valid tip to start with the official hair schedule? Then, when you are more familiar with the treatment, you begin to customize your schedule. Always remembering that all hair needs nourishment, hydration and reconstruction, so there are no great risks of betting on them, of course with common sense, nothing in exaggeration is good for the hair ?, explains Kely.

Testimonials: I made capillary schedule

Juliana de Andrade, author of the blog Mistura Feminina, says she did the CC for almost two months, because her hair was well damaged due to the lights she had at the time.

“I did CC at home, with products I researched on the internet and others I already had. In the reconstruction stage I used Amend's Keratin and Vitamin B5 Restorative mask and liquid keratin for the keratinization process. I also used Natura's Ekos Murumuru line. In the nutrition stage, I used coconut oil for the moistening process. And in the hydration stage, I used the mask Silicon Mix Bamboo, Bepantol Solution and Glycerin ?, explains Juliana.

The hair was elastic and overdried by the lights, and with the hair schedule the hair was completely regenerated. It was soft, aligned and very resistant ?, adds the blogger.

Débora Coelho Lopes Neves, 29, a nutritionist, says she's been following the schedule for three weeks. "I'm doing because I have long hair and chemistry at the ends, and who wants big hair has to take care."

The schedule I am following is as follows: first week = hydration, nutrition, reconstruction; second week = hydration, hydration, nutrition; third week = reconstruction without keratin, nutrition and hydration; fourth week = nutrition, hydration, keratin reconstruction ?, explains Deborah.

"I'm using: Absolut Repair Lipidium from L? Oreal, Forever Liss Nail Polish, Lola Olive Moisture and Black Stripe Lola?" Says Deborah. The result of the CC is wonderful, you can see the difference already in the first week: mega-shiny hair, loose, with movement, decreased frizz. My hair was not detonated, but I had a wonderful result?
