Woman has bariatric surgery and can't stop losing weight

What seemed like the hope of a better, healthier life turned out to be a big nightmare for Tracey McLaughhlin. At 51, she weighed 120kg and it was upon hearing from doctors that her health was in danger that she decided to have bariatric surgery to lose weight. She even had to move around using a wheelchair because of overweight arthritis.

One year after the surgery, Tracey managed to lose 65kg, but the problem is that she does not stop losing weight despite the caloric diet and not even doctors can tell why this continuous weight loss. Today she weighs 35 kg and has been warned by experts that if she continues to lose weight she may die.

Now Tracey says that having bariatric surgery was the worst decision she ever made in her life, but remember that this is an isolated case and that surgery saves the lives of many people who are morbidly obese. But like any surgery, it has its risks and nothing guarantees that there will be no problems. Therefore it is important to always make sure that the hired professionals are properly qualified and to follow all medical guidelines.
