5 things that make you tired and you don't even know

Are you fatigued and have no idea why? Here are five reasons why you may be feeling so tired:

  1. Dehydration
Even moderate dehydration can make you feel mentally slow and mess with your concentration. The next time you are feeling "foggy" or even dizzy, it may not be a lack of food, but a glass or two of water.
  2. Cell phone
Checking the phone before bed amplifies brain activity, making it harder to fall asleep. In addition, artificial blue light from any electronic device can suppress the sleep melatonin hormone. A 2011 survey by the National Sleep Foundation found that 20% of people aged 19 to 29 are awakened by a call, text or email at least a few nights a week. Turn the phone off before going to bed.
  3. Medication
Many medicines have side effects such as tiredness and lack of energy. Chief among them are some antidepressant classes and some beta-blockers used to prevent migraines or treat high blood pressure. If you start a new medication and feel more apathetic than usual, consult your doctor for an alternative.
  4. Too many exercises
Exercises are excellent for the proper functioning of the body, however, as everything in excess can be harmful, they also fall into this rule. Do a workout according to a professional who understands the subject and seek medical advice before starting your gym.
  5. Low iron rate
If you are not ingesting enough iron daily for your body, it may not work properly and you may feel depleted. Low iron levels can lead to anemia. If you feel weak, ask your doctor for a blood test to see if a supplement is needed.
