Keep your skin hydrated in winter

Having skin care only in summer is not enough. In winter, the skin is as rough as in other seasons. With the arrival of low temperatures, our skin needs special care to remain beautiful and hydrated throughout the season. Instead of strong sunshine and intense heat, we have a dry climate with freezing winds. As a result, the skin changes due to weather conditions and dryness and cracking are common.

Watch out with your skin in winter

A simple but harmful habit of hygiene is bathing with hot water. After a tiring and so cold day, nothing better than a cozy bath to relax, isn't it? But one must beware of repeatedly long and hot baths.

Hot water eliminates the natural lubrication of the skin and this contributes to dry and dehydrated skin. Especially people who already have dry skin suffer most in these conditions. While bathing, prefer neutral soaps that are glycerinated or have vegetable oils in the composition.

The main winter skin care should be moisturizing, which can be done with creams and lotions after bathing, when the skin is permeable and better absorbs the product. And the elbows, heels and feet should not be ignored, there are even products specific to these regions.

With lower temperatures, sun exposure becomes more pleasant, which does not mean that the use of sunscreen is unnecessary. At least on the face, which is more exposed than other parts of the body is ideal to use a factor 15 or 20 protector.

It is common for people to suffer from burnt and cracked lips in the cold. But even without realizing it, they make a mistake that can hurt even more because the skin of the region is thin and sensitive. It is common to add the tongue to moisten the mouth, but saliva is acidic and ends up hurting the parched area even more. To avoid this, bet on moisturizing lipsticks and cocoa butter.

A tip that is worth not only as a winter skin care, but for all seasons and no product replaces, is to drink water, lots of water. Even more in the cold, when the body produces less sweat and the skin is without this hydration alternative. Taking these precautions, just enjoy the beautiful and well-hydrated winter.
