New study says exercising 1x a week is enough

Did you remember all the promises made in the New Year to do more exercises during that year? If you still feel guilty about not being able to meet them all, then there is good news: Positive health effects can be achieved with just one exercise workout per week. But this series has a minimum time for the results to be the same as a whole week: two and a half hours of exercise.

Researchers found that those who could perform 150 minutes of exercise on one or two days of the week were as healthy as others who did the same amount divided over several days.

Dr. Ian Janssen, who led the research, said: "The results indicate that it doesn't matter how adults choose to accumulate their 150 minutes of weekly physical activity." According to him, those who do not perform any physical activity from Monday to Friday, but can be active for 150 minutes over the weekend, will get the same benefits as those who exercise at the same time over the remaining days.

Now you know that lack of time is no longer an excuse to stop exercising!
