Twins adopted by different parents reunite after 7 years

It sounds like soap opera story, but it's real. Two Chinese twins separated at birth and handed over for adoption reunited years later. Ella and Anna were abandoned at birth. One was left at the door of a hospital and another in a park. Shortly thereafter, two different families adopted them, one in Michigan and one in North Carolina.

The couples met in the adoption process and kept in touch over the internet. But it was the mothers' intuition that made it all discovered. "As soon as we realized that the girls were having a birthday together, we thought about being twins," said one of the foster mothers. That was when they arranged for the girls to undergo a DNA test.

The result proved what mothers had already suspected: the girls were really twin sisters. More than seven years after being separated, they finally met. The couples exchanged toys and strengthened their brotherly bond, promising to stay in touch and do everything they can to see each other periodically.
